About

I am an ordained United Methodist minister serving in the Western North Carolina Conference.  I went to seminary at Wesley Theological Seminary through  Pfeiffer University’s Center for Deacon Studies in Charlotte North Carolina while also completing my Master of Christian Education degree from Pfeiffer.  I have served both in church ministry with Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Sherrills Ford and First United Methodist Church in Lincolnton, and in ministry beyond the local church with UMAR, an agency that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  I spent many years not working (for money) while raising our two sons.  During that time, I was the contractor for our own house, and I spent a lot of time volunteering in the community and at our church.  Before that, I was a high school English teacher.  I also have spent some time in banking and real estate.
